My 25 year marriage to Mary and McCleary ended with a separation just before Hallowe’en of 2006 and the divorce a year later. Her life remains relatively unchanged.
Our son Jack graduated from Humboldt State in 2005 with a degree in philosophy and daughter Naomi in chemistry from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2006. Our youngest daughter Susy is graduating from Trinity College, Dublin, in 2011. Shortly after Suzy left, Naomi returned from California to take a new job in Gaithersburg, and Jack returned from Portland, Oregon, to reconnect with the family. In 2010 he reentered college to study to be a legal assistant.
Suzy spent Christmas 2009 in Kyiv with Oksana and me; you can see some pictures of us together at Chernobyl on the Picasa link on the previous page.
Naomi has returned to Johns Hopkins for a Masters degree in chemistry. In fall of 2010 she came to Paris to celebrate our marriage consecration in the Anglican chapel there. You can find pictures of her and Oksana through the link to my photos.
I have little idea of what speculation or stories e
xist within the McCleary clan about my sudden disappearance. Most of my
overtures to remain in contact with Mary Ann’s family have been
rebuffed. Certainly nobody has expressed an interest in hearing from me
about our split. On the off chance that anybody is interested,
here is my account.
